Presentation of the Szombathely Bloom Award - The award will be presented by Ronan Gargan, Ambassador of Ireland to Hungary, dr. András Nemény, Mayor of Szombathely, and Soma Horváth, Deputy Mayor of Szombathely

Irish and Hungarian Hymns, performed by Tímea Újvári, Attila Holdosi

The traditional stamping will be continued this year, with the traditional powdered sugar inscriptions between Fő tér and Rákóczi Ferenc Street. This year, the texts of ULYSSES 100 and BLOOMSDAY will be placed on the street. Anyone can join, community action!

Created by Eszter Szabó (Leopold Bloom Art Award - 2021) and Aideen Barry (Ireland)

Professional coordinator: artist István Szántó, visual artist, and curator of the Murals Workshop and Symposion.

The works will be presented by Júlia Salamon, cultural worker, István Szántó, professional coordinator, and the artists. 

A classic element of both the Bloomsdays in Szombathely and Ireland is the tapping of Guinness beer. There's a glass for everyone!

Tibor T. Takács and his friends (Savaria TAG) present the until now unknown relics and found objects of the past and the Bloom heritage with a unique artistic concept.

This year, students from the ELTE Savaria University Centre will again join the Bloomsday events. This year, their inspirations will be shown from the 100-year-old novel in the exhibition space of the Schrammel Collection. The graphic prints were created by the students of Visual Arts Department to mark the 100th anniversary of the novel's publication.

The exhibition is organised around three topics, "Plant blindness", "What is it like to be a plant?" "Slow animals" which the invited artists reflect on through their works.

The exhibition is organised by the Westwerk Art Workshop Cultural Association.
