"Our Dáblin is a fictive city. Pretty and nice, but not earthly. Dáblin is not a mirror of reality, but it exists as a secret garden in the intellectual world of the artists." (From the opening speech of Krisztina Somogyi, Dáblin No. 10)

Ágoston Béla and the Mezőn Túró Rév Szarvas
concert
Musicians: Sándor Fejes "Master Mister": rap, drum (Mezőtúr), Zsolt Lázár "DJ Snare": record-player (Szarvas), Ernő Hock "CB. Eernő": bass (Mezőtúr), Béla Ágoston "Din Reed": saxophone (Szarvas)
“(…) only a small percentage of visitors at the Gallery of Szombathely went on to Mártírok tere, and an even bigger problem was that this hiatus was neither filled by others. The lawn laid down on the parking lot next to Savaria Cinema – which was called the Green Island of Savaria – was empty for a long time, except for the bar where a couple of people did hang around. The situation remained unchanged even when tenor saxophonist Béla Ágoston and the Mezőn Túró Rév Szarvas were already playing their last number. (Did they think that stepping on the artificial grass-artwork was forbidden?) Though the funny-named group did such a serious job of mixing abstract hip-hop, wheezing jazz and all kind of silly sound-samples that the writer of these lines wonders how it is possible that this group has missed his attention (...) so far." IROKÉZ BLOOM
exhibition
Artists: János Major, László Najmányi, World Society of Artists Painting with their Mouth and Brain, TNPU/IPUT (Tamás St.Auby)
"Among the events preceding Bloomsday, the vernissage of this exhibition - instead of the usual crunchies and white wine – took place in silence as one of the artists, János Major four days ago, in the age of 74 passed away. His fellow artists decided that they take down their own works from the walls, so that all attention could go to Major. Among them, Tamás St. Auby bitterly noted that Major was the most famous unknown artist. Colleagues failed to notice him. Now, that he has been dead for three days, the machinery of art historians will start, so that they can organize a big retrospective exhibition of Major."
