"The first conference was organized in 1997 as part of the events of Bloomsday, and since then the conference has grown into a popular event among Joyce researchers, those interested in Joyce, and readers who just want to get to know Joyce. In the last few years, the Joyce conference took place in the fall, and as such became formally independent of the traditional Bloomsday events in Szombathely. Nevertheless, it did maintain a connection with the local interest surrounding Leopold Bloom. Bloomsday Through the Eyes of Young People

"During the concert, an exhibition "opened its doors" on Fő tér. We could see a very interesting composition of two students from a high school of fine arts, which, read from a certain point, gave the word "Joyce" from both sides. Unfortunately, the exhibition was only "open" for an hour, but just as Ulysses narrated Bloom’s one day, the exhibition "showed" the name of the writer on Fő tér for an hour." (Vaskarika.hu)

"After Joyce’s wife (who was also Nora), the summer-greeting concert of Nora’s Garden closed Bloomsday on the Agora Terrace. The repertoire of the band - including own songs and adaptations (Norah Jones, Carmen Consoli, Eric Truffaz...) - were performed by guest musicians from Szombathely (Ádám Németh - piano, Szabolcs Németh - percussion, Bence Horváth - bass guitar)."
