James Joyce Conference
conference
"The first conference was organized in 1997 as part of the events of Bloomsday, and since then the conference has grown into a popular event among Joyce researchers, those interested in Joyce, and readers who just want to get to know Joyce. In the last few years, the Joyce conference took place in the fall, and as such became formally independent of the traditional Bloomsday events in Szombathely. Nevertheless, it did maintain a connection with the local interest surrounding Leopold Bloom. This year, unlike previous years, the Joyce Conference was again held within the framework of Bloomsday as an important part of it." (Vaskarika.hu)

One Day the World!

Bloomsday Through the Eyes of Young People
"During the concert, an exhibition "opened its doors" on Fő tér. We could see a very interesting composition of two students from a high school of fine arts, which, read from a certain point, gave the word "Joyce" from both sides. Unfortunately, the exhibition was only "open" for an hour, but just as Ulysses narrated Bloom’s one day, the exhibition "showed" the name of the writer on Fő tér for an hour." (Vaskarika.hu)
